PANTRYPAL
Shared households plan meals and shop from one list.

BACKGROUND & CONTEXT
Roommates and families lose recipes in group chats, plan meals separately and duplicate groceries because nothing is shared in one place.
TARGET USERS
Roommates and small families sharing a kitchen
THE GOAL
Turn shared meal planning into one collaborative flow.
MY PROCESS
- Concept
- flows
- wireframes
- UI
- prototype
KEY DECISIONS
- The meal plan is shared by default, not per person
- The shopping list generates itself from the plan
- Recipes saved once, reused by everyone
THE SOLUTION
A collaborative app where a household saves recipes, plans the week together and gets a shared shopping list generated automatically from that plan.
KEY FEATURES
- Shared recipe library
- Collaborative weekly planner
- Auto-generated shopping list
DESIGN SYSTEM & ACCESSIBILITY
A single card pattern drives recipes, the weekly plan and the shopping list. Shared items are attributed by name and avatar together, so ownership isn't signalled by colour alone.
OUTCOME
A concept product built around collaboration rather than single-user task management.
BY THE NUMBERS
~40 screens covering a 3-part shared flow: recipes, plan, shopping list
What I learned
Multi-user products need a clear owner for every shared object.
